Physical Exam (√): “Peace Corps received the results of your physical exam on December 3, 2010. If the program you are nominated for is not scheduled to leave in the next 4 months you may not hear from Medical until the time of departure is closer. Currently those programs scheduled to leave in the next 4 months are being reviewed. For applicants leaving within 4 months Peace Corps may request additional medical information. Please respond quickly to these requests.”
Evaluations required to become an invitee
Dental (√): "Complete. Peace Corps has completed your dental review. There are no dental holds on your account at this time."
Medical: "Peace Corps is currently reviewing your medical documentation."
Jan. 2011
- Received the unhelpfully ambiguous notification that : "A decision has been reached regarding your medical review. Please look for a letter in the mail."
- This was followed by a letter from the Office of Medical Services ("OMS") informing me that I “have been medically qualified for service and the Office of Placement notified.”
Mar. 2011
- Attended (the end of) the Peace Corps 50th Anniversary event
- Preliminary review completed and application referred to a Placement Specialist
- Sent updated resume
Apr. 2011
- Final telephone interview with Placement Specialist
- Received invitation and invitation kit (see pic below) for serving as a Community Economic Development ("CED") Adviser for Peace Corps Azerbaijan ("AZ"), staging in September 2011
